A snitch with nothing better to do is like a loaded trebuchet waiting for a breeze to destabilize the launching mechanism–it's an accident waiting to happen. This neighbor was flabbergasted when he received an embarrassingly paranoid email from his HOA after having a small gathering for his birthday party. There was no loud music and no excessive disturbance, so what was it that set off this snitching HOA? Three black SUVs.

After living in a quiet neighborhood with a particularly stringent HOA, u/Moetheoneandonly, the original poster (OP) of this story, was no stranger to living according to the neighborhood's rules. They planned a birthday gathering at their house with a few close friends, parking a total of 6 cars near their house and only 2 parked on the street. The night was a simple, fun evening that nobody could contest as riotous, but there was something that still nagged at the overly paranoid HOA. Not only were they just waiting for a slip-up, but apparently the black cars parked outside the house 'unsettled and startled' several of the neighbors.

    It's really concerning to see such vehicles showing up in our otherwise peaceful, family-oriented neighborhood, especially without any prior notice. As you can imagine, the sight of them raised a lot of questions and caused quite a bit of anxiety. Some residents even thought something more serious was happening. The whole situation was, quite honestly, alarming and we had no idea how to react.
